wholesomelyjane.com ("the Site") is operated by Jane Li ("wholesomely·jane", "I", "me"). The Site provides information about cooking classes, recipes, and related content. By using this Site or booking a class, you agree to these terms.
When you submit a booking through the Site, you are requesting a spot in the specified class and agree to be bound by these terms. A booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from me. I reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking at my discretion.
Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis. If a class is full, you may be added to a waitlist and notified if a spot opens up.
Online bookings close a set number of hours before each class begins (typically 2 hours). After that, please contact me directly if you'd like to attend.
Class prices are listed on the Site and are per person. Payment details are shared after your booking is confirmed. Full payment is expected before the class date unless otherwise arranged.
Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed at a previous price.
Full refunds are available if you cancel at least 48 hours before the class start time. Cancellations within 48 hours of the class are not eligible for a refund, but I'm happy to transfer your spot to a friend or apply your payment as a one-time credit toward a future class. Credits are valid for 6 months from the date of issue and are non-transferable for cash.
No-shows (failure to attend without notice) forfeit payment. All sales are final once a class has been attended.
I reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class at any time due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, emergencies, low enrollment, etc.). If I cancel a class, you will receive a full refund or the option to rebook a future session. Menus, ingredients, and class format may change when reasonably necessary.
Classes are held in my home kitchen in San Francisco and are open to guests aged 18 and over unless otherwise stated. By attending, you agree to:
You are responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for you given your health, physical condition, and any medical considerations. Nothing on this site or in a class constitutes medical or nutritional advice.
Cooking involves inherent risks including but not limited to burns from hot pans, ovens, and steam; cuts from knives and sharp tools; slips, trips, and falls; and allergic reactions. You participate at your own risk and acknowledge these hazards.
I reserve the right to remove any guest from a class, without refund, for unsafe behavior, intoxication, harassment, repeated failure to follow instructions, or any conduct that compromises the safety or experience of others.
By booking and attending a class, you acknowledge that cooking activities in a private home kitchen involve inherent risks of injury. I use reasonable care in preparing for and conducting classes, but to the fullest extent permitted by California law, you release wholesomely·jane from liability for personal injury, property damage, or allergic reactions arising from the ordinary risks of participation.
I carry general liability insurance for my classes. However, this does not cover pre-existing conditions, undisclosed allergies, or injuries resulting from disregarding safety instructions.
You are responsible for any damage to my home, furnishings, or equipment caused by intentional misconduct, reckless behavior, or misuse of equipment. I reserve the right to charge a reasonable repair or replacement cost in such cases. Ordinary small mishaps during the course of cooking are simply part of the experience.
You are responsible for your personal belongings during class. I am not responsible for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged.
I do my best to accommodate dietary restrictions when notified in advance, but accommodations are not guaranteed. Classes take place in a home kitchen that regularly handles common allergens including wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, soy, and shellfish. Cross-contact may occur, and I cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
It is your responsibility to review the class menu and ingredients, and to disclose any allergies or dietary needs at the time of booking. If you have severe allergies, please contact me before booking to discuss whether a class is suitable for you. I am not liable for reactions arising from allergies, sensitivities, or dietary restrictions that were not disclosed in advance.
Food prepared and served during class is consumed at your own discretion.
I may take photos or short videos during classes for use on the Site, social media, or marketing materials. By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded. If you prefer not to be included, please let me know before the class begins and I will respect your wishes.
Gift cards are non-refundable and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They may be applied toward any available class. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.
All content on this Site — including recipes, photos, text, and branding — is owned by wholesomely·jane unless otherwise noted. You may share recipes for personal use but may not reproduce, distribute, or sell them commercially without written permission.
When you book a class or sign up for the newsletter, I collect your name and email address. This information is used to:
By booking a class, you agree to receive booking confirmations, reminders, and other service-related emails. You may also receive occasional marketing emails about future classes and offerings. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting me directly.
I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Email services are provided through Resend and payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Booking data is stored securely and retained only as long as needed for class administration.
The Site may contain links to external websites (Instagram, payment processors, etc.). I am not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
I may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when published on this page. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
